ITHACA, N.Y. -- The body of a Marine killed in the line of duty arrives home today. Corporal Christopher Bordoni, 21, died on April 3rd. He was injured while in Afghanistan on January 18th. Bordoni joined the Marines after graduating from Ithaca High School.

His body will arrive at Hancock International Airport Tuesday around 5:50 p.m. A procession will follow from the airport to Ithaca. Community members are encouraged to gather and show support along North Street by the Dryden Fire Station.

Bordoni's funeral will be held Thursday morning at the Immaculate Conception Church. The service will be followed by a burial at Calvary Cemetery with full Marine honors.
