CHENANGO COUNTY, N.Y. -- Congressman Richard Hanna made a visit to Chenango County. He met with business and commerce leaders at Fred's Inn in Norwich.
Hanna told the group he's working on things like tax reform for businesses. He says he is also introducing a new bill to promote STEM education to keep students competitive in those fields.
The Congressman says meeting with local leaders is an important way to stay in touch with his district as well as update people on what's being done in Washington.
"I know who I work for and I know why and I didn't go at this job because I wanted to be in Congress,” Hanna said. “I've been in business all my life, so I'm here to see what I can do."
Hanna also visited New York Pizzeria in New Berlin earlier in the day to meet with business leaders there.
