Authorities in Chenango County say they've found the body of a missing New Berlin woman. Jennifer's Ramsaran's remains were found off of Center Road in the Town of Pharsalia Tuesday. Our Melissa Kakareka spoke with Jennifer's husband after the news was made public. She has more from the newsroom.

CHENANGO COUNTY, N.Y. -- This is certainly not the way that Jennifer Ramsaran's family and friends hoped the search for their loved one would end. The Chenango County Sheriff's Department has confirmed that Ramsaran's body was found in the Town of Pharsalia Tuesday night.

The 36-year-old was reported missing back on December 11th after she drove to Syracuse to go shopping at Destiny USA and never returned home. Ramsaran's car and cell phone were found after disappearance only about 10 miles away from where her body was found this week.

Jennifer Ramsaran's husband says he wants to thank everyone who helped search for Jennifer and who showed support for the family. He says the past two-and-a-half months have been excruciatingly painful, but now the family can move toward finding answers and seeking justice for Jennifer. Her husband says Jennifer will never be far from the family's thoughts.

"As I explained to the kids, mom is always with us, always with us. You can talk to her at any point in time. She's always listening, always there, her earthly body, you know, is one thing, but she's always there," said Ganesh Remy Ramsaran.

There are still a lot questions remaining, including the cause of Jennifer's death.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Chenango County Sheriff's office at (607) 337-1924 or (607) 337-1864. All calls will be kept confidential.
